ABOUT US
Haiku Institute is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to teaching this rare art form to an eager world through the use of our patent-pending software, self-education, peer review and masterly guidance. The journey of learning how to combine the thoughtful art form of Haiku with intriguing thoughts that convey strong, powerful and moving emotion in syllables of limited realm is not easy to master but the effort and journey in doing so is rewarding far beyond the effort involved. We offer you three levels of engagement. First, there is a free limited participation that is available to all. Next is a paid participant Poet level that provides many benefits including participation in guided composition classes, friendly yet keen Haiku contests, ability to preserve your personal library of work and the option to copyright it and make it known to the world, all in a site dedicated to the art. The final level is Patron – which shows that you are dedicated to helping preserve and expand this art of Haiku to new generations of poets and story-tellers and that you wish to be involved with its propagation to new generations of poets. After you have registered, these three levels will be explained in more detail and you will be invited to choose the level of participation that best suits your needs. Begin your Haiku journey HERE
